ABOUT SHEA
STUFF SHEA LOVES. (IN NO PARTICULAR ORDER)
Stuff I Love
As a bride or groom researching who to choose as their photographer, sometimes it’s nice to know that we have some things in common. Of course, it’s not necessary for you to like the same things as me but sometimes it helps. Here are some of my favourite things in no particular order.
Last updated August 2024.

Christopher Reeve
A real life Superman.
Christopher Reeve is one of the most inspirational human beings that has ever been on this earth.
I grew up watching Christopher Reeve as Superman. In later life I learned of his horrific accident not knowing that he would prove to be one of the most inspirational figures in my life.

My Cockapoo, Maisie
Without a doubt, the biggest torture in my life.
She’s nearly one year old and seems impossible to settle.
Her birthday is Christmas Eve. Why didn’t I call her Hollie or Eve?
The craziest thing in my life but I wouldn’t change her for anything. Probably. Maybe.
-
Taylor Swift
I used to be a big Taylor Swift fan and I suppose I still am.
Been lucky enough to photograph her at a few concerts down the years.
The picture above is one of my favourites and won an award for event photography. The banner image at the top of this page is also one I took of her in Dublin.
Taylor, if you are reading this and are getting married, you can get in touch to see if I’m available for your big day,

My Nieces & Nephews
Don’t let those cute faces fool you, they are all bonkers.
All eight of them.
They all love their uncle but not as much as I love them.
-
The Band Perry
Who’s that guy with the Band Perry? He must be very important…
I love the Band Perry. Was gutted when Kimberly didn’t ask me to be her wedding photographer.
For anyone who doesn’t know them, (where have you been?) The Band Perry are a country music trio composed of siblings, Kimberly, Reid & Neil. I’ve been lucky enough to meet them a couple of times and photographed them lots of times.
You’ll probably never see me happier than in this photo. :-)
-
Manchester United
I don’t really have time to follow these days but I’ve visited United loads of times. I’ve seen them get beat more times than they won so I’m not very lucky for them. Funny enough, those were the days when they were winning trophies. I haven’t been since 2012 s0 you can’t blame me for their current troubles. :-)
-
500 Days Of Summer
One of my favourite movies.
It’s a story of boy meets girl, but you should know, it’s not a love story…
If you haven’t seen it, go watch it. It was on Disney+ the last time I seen it. :-)
-
Country 2 Country
The ultimate country music weekend. Held every year in Dublin, London and Glasgow across 3 nights.
If I’m not photographing a wedding during this weekend, this is where I’ll be.
-
Education
Everyday is a school day.
For my career as a photographer and in life, I keep the same attitude, if you are not learning you are not living.
-
Live Music
Nothing beats a good concert especially if it’s country.
Brad Paisley, Carrie Underwood, Kacey Musgraves Sugar + The Hi-Lows and The Band Perry are some of my favourites.
-
The Gilmore Girls
You’ve never seen the Gilmore Girls?
We can’t be friends until you see at least one episode.
Go watch a few episodes on Netflix. You’ll thank me later.
-
Andrei Kanchelskis
My favourite ever Manchester United player. He was a rocket! I was 14 when he left United to go to Everton. Would have loved to have seen him play live.
-
Superman
I love most of the DC characters. Superman is my favourite.
Still my favourite and the best, Richard Donner’s, Superman: The Movie.
James Gunn has his work cut out but here’s hoping he does well.
-
Physical Media
I know it’s 2023 and almost everything we consume is digital.. Keep your Netflix and Apple Music, I still love my Blu Rays and cds.
-
Love Actually
Who doesn’t love a good movie? Here’s one of my favourites, Love Actually. It’s got Mr Bean in it and that’s not even the best part.
-
Wrestling
I still love following the soap opera that is wrestling.
In 2023 I got to go to Los Angeles to WWE WrestleMania with my mate, Sean who is also a wedding supplier. How cool is that? I’m a tiny dot in the photo below.
I even brought back a championship title as a souvenir. If you book me, I’ll let you have a picture taken with it. ;-) Wonder if I’ll ever grow out of it? Probably not, next stop, Wembley stadium for AEW!
